What we collect

When you use a form on this website, call or email us, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, and information about your property and project. If you apply for a job, we also collect your trade, experience and anything else you choose to tell us.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and manage your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract. For job applications, we use your details to assess and respond to your application, on the basis of our legitimate interest in recruiting. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our business: our website host and form provider (Netlify) and our email provider (Google Workspace). They process data on our behalf under contract. If your project goes ahead, we may share relevant details with people involved in it, such as architects, structural engineers, building control and party wall surveyors. Some providers may process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 2 years of our last contact. Customer records are kept for 6 years after the project ends, to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, and longer if needed for a guarantee claim. Job applications are kept for up to 12 months.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to transfer it. Email hello@atticuslofts.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
